The 2026 Summer Programming Cycle

Welcome to the 2026 Summer Programming Cycle. Summer means a lot of life happening outside the gym, and at Solcana we want your gym time to keep you feeling strong and ready for all of it. The familiar weekly structure stays, but we're shifting focus. We’re building resiliency, adding muscle for future strength work, and making you an unstoppable summer force of nature. We’re adding variety and shifting goals, but keeping the same evidence-based strategies and fun attitude.

Variety + Quality = Resilient Strength

Shifting away from doing the same lifts the same way builds resilience and breaks through plateaus. It's also safer. We're building in stability and mobility work to support our injury-reduction goals while maintaining strength, and keeping things feeling fresh and fun in the process. While we lean into variety, we'll also be keeping our eyes on some very specific measures of quality. You'll have real, trackable progress to point to over the course of the cycle.

Squat Depth

Moving weight is one thing. Moving weight through a full range of motion, with control and intention, is something else entirely. It builds more functional capacity (your ability to physically engage with the world), and it makes you stronger overall. That's why we're drilling into Squat Depth this cycle. We'll give you tools to evaluate and improve your strength at every point in the range of motion and improve that range where appropriate. We will use target squats, box squats, front squats, pause squats, and tempo squats. There is not much we could offer that would be a more effective use of your time in building resilient, adaptable strength.

What Else is New

New cycle, new formats, new stimuli, new results. That's the formula. We've got Post-Activation Potentiation pairings of strength and power to take you to new heights of physical expression (literally, in some cases). We've got long sets to build muscle, which is vital for long-term health and physicality. We've got carries, holds, Giant Sets, and Density Sets to build an ironclad core and a strong base for everything you do. And we've got agility and mobility work to support all your walking, hiking, and running summer fun.
