Event #5

Event #5 starts this Friday, 4/4/25. The Event and Workout details are below, including a video walking you through all the different workout options.

Event #4 Theme: 🩳Short Shorts!!!🦵🏽 (this is very optional, but will be very fun for those who have been waiting their whole lives for this moment): Let’s exercise our right to bare legs. How short? That is up to you, but, you know, street legal as a bare minimum. 😜 Don’t wanna wear short shorts, no problem. Don’t, but do come have fun all the same.

Friday Night Lights After Party: We will continue to wander over to Arbiter for $1 off taps and post-workout chill.

Hot Tips:

  • Pacing: coming out too hot will make this whole workout really unpleasant, but there's also a chance of going too slow. Try to find a sustainable pace that keeps your overall intensity around 7/10 on the barf scale, then crank it up in the last few minutes if you have anything left in the tank.

  • Not everyone will finish and that's OK. Choose weights and options that give you more of a strength and skill challenge if you prefer that kind of workout. Maybe your goal is to get to the Pull Ups and do as many of those as you can in the remaining time.

Things to know about the movement standards:

  • Stepping Up AND Jumping Up onto boxes will be allowed in ALL CATEGORIES. All Step/Jumps must start with both feet on the floor and end standing tall on the box. Pick which one feels better to you or mix and match.

  • Sun and Moon will need to maintain the athlete's best depth for Thrusters, while Planet and Comet will need to have hip go even with or just below knee.

  • KB must go above eye height for Russian Swing

  • Bar will start 6" above head while standing for Jumping Pull Up. Use plates on the floor as needed. You can do these straight up and down or with a kip swing, but arms must be fully extended at the bottom.

  • For Ring Rows, start with feet right under rings with rings adjusted to solar plexus height.
