Event #3
Event #3 starts this Friday, 3/21/25. The Event and Workout details are below, including a video walking you through all the different workout options.
Event #3 Theme: 💇Hair Flare🪮, do something a little special with your hair. It could be subtle or maximum over the top. Wigs, colors, secret undercut, full mullet, etc. Not into hair stuff, wear a special hat or other hair covering and we will count that. ;)
Friday Night Lights After Party: We will continue to wander over to Arbiter for $1 off taps and post-workout chill.
Event #3 Team Challenge: Can your team do the theme? Maybe you coordinate your Hair Flare. Maybe you all do different special festive hairstyles. Maybe you all resolutely refuse to do anything even remotely special or different with your hair. Whatever it is, if you do it together, you win!
Workout 25.3
This workout is the perfect mix of speed, skill and strength. Most likely people will cap out on the Snatch weight, so strength will be the limiter, but if you want to work in the heavier categories, then double unders will be the gatekeepers.
WATCH THIS VIDEO to see the movements and options.
Hot Tips:
Choose the Play option if you just want to have a challenging workout. You can do any Jump Rope options. You can also keep a consistent weight for the Snatches and just see how many rounds you can do.
Don't worry about finishing, there is no way to finish, you will likely get to a weight you can't do or can only do once or twice.
If the Jump Rope option is your challenge, break it into short sets and to stay fresh. You will have lots of time, so don't be afraid to spend some of it resting if you are tripping on the rope.
If you are aiming for a heavy Snatch, try to move quickly, but steadily through the rounds to be able to have some time to rest before having to attempt your heaviest Snatches. If you know you will end up needing to Squat Snatch at some point, mix some in to warm up your Squat but otherwise try to do Power or Muscle to preserve energy.
Things to know about the movement standards:
Snatch can be any style as long as the bar goes from the floor to overhead in one smooth movement and is not pressed overhead.
Ball Swing Hops will be counted as number of Ball Swings, but feet must be moving during swings.
