First Off: Celebrating The 2026 Solcana Invitational

We are so proud of every single person who showed up and gave it their all, and rather than single anyone out, we want to celebrate all the many amazing ways people participated. There were too many inspiring moments to count, and you all know how it felt to get involved in the ways you did. Way to go!

The Spirit of the Invitational Award goes to everyone who chose a big challenge and rose to meet it. Every person who pushed harder than they thought they could, or who dialed back to stay consistent with the quality they wanted to achieve. There were so many incredible moments: that last rep, that new edge discovered, that new level of difficulty accessed for the first time. Many of you had a truly transformative experience out there. You know who you are.

We also have to shout out our Lead Cheerleaders: the people who judged and scored enthusiastically, who showed up alongside their fellow athletes, and who cheered their heads off for one another. This community runs on that kind of energy, and you delivered. Thank you for making this event feel as exciting and special as it was.

And then there's Team Spirit: the shirts, the cheering, the new connections and deepened friendships. Some of you came in as official teams. Others just found each other along the way and something clicked. Either way, you showed up for each other and gave this Invitational the most amazing community vibe. Go team!

What's Next: The Spring Programming Cycle

We are shifting gears. After a season focused on pushing intensity and power output, this Spring Programming Cycle is all about growing into new ranges of motion, building muscle, and developing stability. This is part of our intentional yearly cycle of progression and periodization — letting one energy system and muscle group rest while we develop in other places. It's not random, it's strategic.

We are doing some weird stuff this spring, but there is always a reason.

Turkish Get Ups are on the menu to build strength in lateral and rotational joint movements and multi-directional core stability. Bottoms Up kettlebell movements are coming in to build upper body connection to technique and form, plus shoulder stability and mobility. We are folding in a variety of other movements to round this out — coming at strength and stability from new angles and new ways.

We are also putting cardio and running on the menu to start building ourselves up for outdoor fun over the summer. And we are cycling in the Powerlifting Big Three — Squat, Bench, and Deadlift — to keep up our practice and cover all our big compound movement strength. You will similarly see the Olympic Lifts showing up for skill practice, maintaining power output, and for all the range of motion and stability challenges they bring.

It's going to be a great spring. See you in the gym.
